Charitable organizations often have a difficult time raising money. To those organizations, particularly ones who depend on a building as a means to provide their services, diverting donor attention from their primary mission to a capital campaign to fix or improve the building can be detrimental to their efforts to serve the very people they exist to serve. In addition, capital campaigns are time consuming efforts, further taking away resources from the primary mission.
As a result, the facilities often fall into disrepair, out of code relative to fire/life-safety or may even become directly unsafe.
While disadvantaged people themselves are often used to less than ideal conditions, they still deserve every level of respect that can be afforded to them. Providing clean, dry, operable and safe facilities is a matter of human dignity.
The Charitable Facilities Foundation takes upon its shoulders the effort to provide some or all of the money necessary to execute capital improvement projects to qualified organizations, whose buildings are an essential part of the services they provide (a “Client”). This allows the organizations to continue to focus their resources on their core mission, to serve more people, and/or serve people in a better, more dignified way.

Project management
Managing your project for you
CFF came together as a group of people who have experience managing capital projects, wanting to share our expertise. Depending on the scope of work for your project and on your discretion, we can lead you through the process of starting and finishing a project to better your facility.

We can guide you through obtaining approvals, entitlements, and/or permits, supervise the contracting and subcontracting process, and stay on top of progress and keep you updated throughout the completion of the project.
Cost reduction
Raising funding for all or part of your project
The needs analysis team at CFF can determine whether or not we can provide a lower cost for your project through leveraging our large network of vendors, and also work with you to budget your project efficiently.

We will work with you to create a formal funding proposal, including a determination of the level of funding CFF can provide, and the timing to be expected for availability of such funds.
Fundraising
Helping to lower the cost of your project
If you are bringing your own budget and specifications, we will work with you to generate funding for up to 100% of your project’s cost.

Reviewing and evaluating qualified facility needs, verifying the proposed requirements, looking for opportunities to value-engineer the ultimate solutions. We can work with architects, engineers, contractors, and specialists to determine or verify an appropriate budget for your project.
